Harlem Street Singer colored_vinyl Come Back (When You GoGary D. Davis, also known as Blind Gary Davis, coined his nickname after he was diagnosed with blindness at infancy. He began his professional career in the Piedmont blues scene of Durham, North Carolina where he taught Blind Boy Fuller. Davis then converted to Christianity and became a minister to explore his religious faith. In the 1940s his career had a rebirth in New York as a part of the American folk music revival. There, he recorded his most
