Vintage large coppiced wood oak swill basket Rustic milking stool The canvas measures 38cm WA Vintage coppiced wooden woven oak swill basket with darker bent wood rim. The basket is in good condition with just a small area inside where a paint ring has been left on the wood. This can obviously only be seen if you look into the basket. Oak swill baksets were and still are made in the south of Cumbria and were often used for feeding cattle, sewing and harvesting root crops and make excellent storage and display pieces. Measurements are 65cm L
