It is called a Kayoi Tokkuri and is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed on a daily basis. This bottle is white with some blue Japanese kanji characters on the outside. It has an opened hole on the bottom to facilitate pouring the sake (cap
