On one of the busiest shipping routes in Europe

Waterlily Under the Ice prints Platalea leucorodiaDying waterlily leaves colourful against the dark water, are caught, frozen for a moment in my city garden pond. Gas bubbles show that although it seems like stasis, the natural process of decay continues in this frozen world. Right now the plant will rest, until next spring when the cycle of new growth will restart. A reminder that resting is good, part of our natural cycle too.
