It's fairly muted on the nose, but translucent flavours in the mouth. Bitter orange and orange bitters, gentian and dried plums, iodine and tamarind powder. It's dry, spicy and the tannins fill the mouth the way a violin fills a cavernous concert hall, achingly elegant, soaring, but you can feel them with your whole body. The substantial alcohol is so beautifully melded into the fabric of the
