Repaint 2024
20" inches wide by 24" inches high by 2" inches deep
I love mark making and seeing gestural movements within the paint
I have included a video of the initial beginning of the painting
This is a piece I lovingly refer to as "Vintage Vaughn"
Original painting "One Thousand Petals" oil on canvas, 8" x 10" outdoor pillow Repaint 2024Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn, "One Thousand Petals." I started this piece with the intent of creating a floral motif, using a beautifully dried lily for inspiration. As you can see, that plan quickly evaporated leaving this lovely muse in it's place. Sometimes you just have to go with flow, and now you know the inside story on the title. This piece is perfect for a nook, in a collection or standing alone as an accent piece. Creation date 2025.
