Proper aseptic technique includes: Cleaning the vial septum with appropriate antiseptic (typically 70% isopropyl alcohol) before each access Using a sterile needle and syringe for each withdrawal Maintaining sterile conditions throughout the preparation process Avoiding touch contamination of the vial septum or needle Following institutional or professional protocols for multi-dose vial management Consequence of Improper Technique: Failure to maintain aseptic technique can result in microbial contamination of the vial contents, potentially leading to serious infection if contaminated solution is administered
