Discussion We demonstrated in the first part of the present work that both glutathione trisulfide (GSSSG) and lipoic acid trisulfide (LASSS) have potent redox characteristics that prevent nitration of Y198 and Y250 of the HGF -chain, thereby preserving the ability of HGF to bind to the receptor c-met and hence activate myogenic stem satellite cells in vitro (Figure 1b-d, and Figure 1e left column)
