The downregulation of FASN in intestinal epithelial cells improves survival and decreases intestinal adenomas in a mouse model of APC-driven CRC (74)
There is a particular need for human studies focused on the following: (i) validation of airway and systemic GSH/GSSG redox balance as a biomarker of asthma susceptibility, (ii) the natural history of GSH/GSSG redox balance in asthma across the lifespan, (iii) the specific role of GSH/GSSG redox balance in clinical manifestations of the disorder, including asthma severity and the response to secondary insults, (iv) the utility of GSH/GSSG redox balance as a predictor and indictor of asthma treatment responsiveness, and (v) therapeutic approaches to restore the GSH/GSSG redox balance in asthma and modify the course of the disorder

This preserves their efficacy and prevents any degradation
Further studies are also needed to determine and utilize the optimal dose and delivery of sulforaphane for treating different aspects of the dystrophic pathology and for its potential future application as a nutraceutical for treating neuromuscular disorders
