I stopped sniffing the scent strip on a constant basis at that point, returning to it every 30 minutes or so during the first two hours, then every hour thereafter, eventually giving up after 6 hours and sniffing it only occasionally to see what the drydown was like
And there is at least one documented instance of this happening, when a 15-month-old died from nicotine poisoning in December 2014
