Lumber from the sawmill located down the Twelve Mile was used in the construction of the power house. Water for the power plant was tapped from the Little Twelve Mile River, and carried five and one half miles by ditch and flume to a point above the power plant at an effective head 650 feet and the initial installation was about 1,650 horsepower.
