Pictured is David Bradley the star of the film who gives a brilliant and honest portrayal of a Northern lad struggling with life in the deprived region of Barnsley. The film poster also paints our young hero in the field with his only friend the kestrel who he names "Kes". In the distance is the colliery but this wonderful poster concentrates on
