Baldwin Valley, Isle Of Man Pen Oil on board 25" xThis is one of two super oil paintings on card by the well regarded artist William Hoggatt that come with first class provenance. They have come direct from a private collection where they have been since purchased in 1951. The garden painting depicts Moya Livesey, a personal friend, with whom Hoggatt was enjoying afternoon tea, at his home at Darrag, Port Erin, Isle of Man. He painted her with his tea knife, making this a fine example of an impasto
