I thought if I could make a literal monolith out of stereo equipment and dot the top of the structure with the glowing eye (HAL 9000) from the film

I did a google search to see if I was subconsciously referencing something but the results didn't reveal anything

The cloud above him gives us a look at the clutter inside his head
