Sternwheeler Casca, c1936. Sports; People Black and white photograph ofThe Sternwheeler "Casca" on the Yukon River with a barge tied off its bow in front of Dawson City. The boat flies the "Royal Mail", "B. Y. N. Co." (British Yukon Navigation Company) and Canadian flags. The Casca (3) was built in Whitehorse in 1937, 1,300 tons, by the B. Y. N. Co.. the machinery from the Casca #2 was salvaged and used to build #3. It was the plushest tourist boat on the Whitehorse Dawson run. The last year of operation was 1952. It sat
